Seating Field Marketing Specialist (m/f) Location:
Cologne or Frankfurt (Central Germany)
We are focused on the German market to become one of the Top 5 seating brands within the next 3 years, and we believe we will win by being even closer to our dealers and customers. We also believe we have opportunities to grow our worktools business in these same markets.
In that regards, we are creating a new Seating Field Marketing position based in Cologne (Köln) or Frankfurt to provide extended support in Central Germany. Our Marketing missions are about:
evolving our value proposition by creating new products, applications and experiences
providing the right support to our sales organizations
managing categories like a business
Work with the local Steelcase and Dealer sales teams (VP’s, sales directors and sales) to be a true Seating / Worktools product and application partner (Steelcase and Coalesse brands), being in charge of defining an annual marketing plan with specific actions to develop the business in the region
Plan and execute demand generation activities (seminars, conferences, email, direct mail, webinars, etc.)
Support Customer “Play to Win” strategies positioning the right product offering, leveraging product knowledge and profitability, competition understanding, or deeper central product marketing expertise
Become an expert in wellbeing and to effectively present message to key audience
Participate in regional “Must Win” discussion and lead required product and application actions steps to ensure high percentage win rates
Generate market insights and business intelligence. By being local, marketing specialists are the voice of the market: trends and local needs, competition characteristics, key audiences (A&D, dealers, consultants), product needs, price points, sales tactics, legal aspects, etc. Be the voice of marketing to the market:
reach our sales organization and dealers, be the relay or initiator of promotional and launch programs to reach regional sales goals
Work closely with regional leadership and Brand Com team to ensure that product categories are leveraged in local initiatives
Lead customer facing activities like sales presentations, mock up presentations
Maintain product and application knowledge in the sales and dealer organization by providing training or leveraging central resources
Influence margin and pricing discussions within the market to increase overall product margins (Long Term)
Improve culling implementations in your markets to speed customer transition and limit market disruption
Influence discussions around Customize solutions to ensure marketing priorities are taken into account and standard solutions are used as often as possible
Participate in Dealer planning / business plan discussion to influence strategies and have action plans and lead the discussion
Ability to work autonomously
Customer oriented, natural sense of urgency
Capacity to adapt your speech / expertise to large audience (ergonomist, health & safety, Architects &Designers, influencers, users)
Strong team player, experienced in bringing people together to solve challenging issues Successful teamwork experience(s)
Highly effective at consensus building and negotiation
Ability to manage multiple demands and activities
Ability to work well under pressure and stress, energized by challenges
Good understanding of long sales cycles and complex solutions selling process, and passion for winning with sales
Excellent oral and written communication skills for interaction with multiple functions and levels within the organization as well as for group or customer presentations
German is the working language, additional language skills will be highly appreciated
Bachelor, in Business administration / marketing / commerce
Extensive working experience in sales or marketing
Previous experience in working international environments will be a plus, working with remote project team members and distributed management, preferably in the office furniture industry
Experience in product launch activities
Experience in developing pricing strategies, both in terms of market price positioning, and in terms of sales opportunity strategy
Working knowledge on seating product ranges, and strong insights on ergonomics and well-being at work
